Connect your Drupal site with your Kontainer DAM and bring media management directly into your content editing workflow. With the Kontainer module for Drupal, editors can access, import, and manage assets from Kontainer without leaving the Drupal admin interface.
Drupal is a powerful content management system for websites, portals, and digital platforms — and when paired with Kontainer as your Digital Asset Management (DAM) system, you gain direct control over which media assets are available for use. Instead of manually uploading files or copying assets, the Kontainer module allows editors to import media from your DAM, apply formatting templates, and reliably reuse approved assets.
This integration helps avoid outdated visuals, versioning confusion, or the proliferation of unapproved files. With access governed by permissions and version control, every media use is consistent, controlled, and up to date.
✔ Import media directly from Kontainer into Drupal — no manual uploads
✔ Use Kontainer’s CDN for efficient delivery of assets
✔ Apply predefined crop & resize templates for consistent visuals
✔ Track file usage across nodes and content
✔ Access control ensures only approved files are available
✔ Reduce duplication and errors across content teams
✔ Maintain version control, avoid outdated assets
✔ Optimize performance via CDN-backed media delivery
✔ Media Import — Bring media into Drupal’s media library straight from your Kontainer DAM
✔ CDN Integration — Use Kontainer’s content delivery network to serve assets
✔ Crop & Resize Templates — Define templates for how media should be transformed during import
✔ Usage Tracking — Monitor where and how often assets are used, especially in nodes (content)
✔ Rights & Version Control — Only access the latest approved version of assets
✔ Efficient Embedding — Use Kontainer media within Drupal paragraphs, embed fields, etc.
In many organizations, editors and content creators spend significant time hunting for media assets, re-uploading the same files, or dealing with versions scattered across local directories or disparate storage. With Kontainer as the single source of truth, Drupal becomes your content delivery layer—while Kontainer remains your asset repository.
This clear separation ensures brand consistency, reduces duplication, and lets you enforce rules, versioning, rights management, and expiration controls. The result: faster content production, stronger brand governance, and a safer, more compliant media workflow.

The Drupal module allows editors to import media from Kontainer DAM into their Drupal site, use Kontainer’s CDN for delivery, apply formatting templates, and track usage.
After enabling the module, you will see a Kontainer media picker inside Drupal’s media interface. Search via metadata, select the file, and import it directly into your media library or embed it in content.
The plugin supports images (JPEG, PNG, SVG), videos, and documents, depending on how your Kontainer DAM is configured and accessible via your rights settings.
Kontainer tracks file usage when assets are referenced in node entities (e.g. pages, articles). Nested content such as paragraphs is also tracked if configured. Only direct references in content (or permitted embed types) are monitored.
Yes — assets are delivered via Kontainer’s CDN and secure APIs. Access is controlled by user permissions in Kontainer. The system ensures only approved, versioned files are used, reducing risk of outdated or unauthorized media.
