Implementation week ca. 1-4

Discovery and data assessment

The onboarding process begins with a thorough review of your current data. This step is crucial for ensuring accuracy and consistency in your PIM implementation.

 

Data review: We start by auditing your product data using spreadsheets to map product families, data dependencies, and existing data flows between your ERP, webshops, and other systems. This is where we identify gaps, opportunities, and the best way forward.

 

Data feeds: Then we assess where data will be imported from and how it will be delivered from Kontainer across your digital infrastructure. Further, we consider potential growth plans to ensure flexibility and future-proofing.

 

Collaborative communication: Throughout this phase, you can expect continuous communication, clarifying every aspect of your data flows. It is a collaborative stage, with the vital goal of laying the foundation and setting expectations for your PIM system.

Implementation week ca. 5-8

PIM setup & data migration

Once we map and understand your data, we set up Kontainer PIM to match your specific requirements.

 

Field creation: We, or your selected partner, will create the necessary fields in your Kontainer PIM to house your data. These fields will be tailored to your product structures and attributes, ensuring the system reflects your unique product lines and workflows.

 

Data import and testing: Then we move on to data migration and import. We first test data quality by running trial imports to ensure all your product information is properly structured and accurate. Once adjustments have been made, we begin the actual migration.

 

DAM asset linking: One of Kontainer PIM’s key benefits is the seamless linking of assets from your Digital Asset Management (DAM) system. All product images, videos, and documents will automatically connect to the corresponding product records, reducing manual workload and ensuring consistency.

Implementation week ca. 9-12

Integration specification & setup

With Kontainer PIM set up and your data in place, we turn to integration—ensuring your system communicates effectively with all other platforms.

 

Integration planning: We guide and support your selected digital partners, webshop suppliers and other third-party platforms through integration set-up and management. Some will need to fetch all data from our RESTful API, which can easily be used in any programming language, while others may prefer customized export scripts. Everything will be tailored to meet your business’s specific needs.

 

API and scripts: We will build and test APIs or export scripts as required. Our goal is to ensure seamless synchronization between your Kontainer PIM and all other relevant systems, automating workflows and reducing manual intervention.

Implementation week ca. 13-16

Testing, training & launch

The final stage is refining, training and ensuring you’re ready to launch your PIM.

 

User training: We will provide comprehensive training for your team, ensuring they feel confident in managing your product data efficiently. This training will cover everything from day-to-day operations to troubleshooting and optimizing workflows.

 

End-to-end testing: Before launch, we will conduct thorough tests to ensure all data, integrations, and automation function as intended. At this stage, we will make any last-minute adjustments.

 

Go live: After thoroughly testing your set-up, the last step is to go live. And we’ll repeat parts of the process as your business grows and changes.
