Why?
Why is a Umbraco + DAM integration important?
Without integration, managing images and files in the CMS often becomes fragmented and time-consuming. With Kontainer + Umbraco, your editors have a direct link to the DAM, so they always select from the current, approved library. This results in faster publishing, fewer errors, and a more consistent brand identity.

FAQ
The Kontainer plugin adds a media picker (property editor) to the Umbraco backoffice. Editors can then select one or more assets directly from your Kontainer library, without manually downloading or uploading files.
You’ll need a Premium plan (or purchased add-on), the NuGet package Kontainer.Umbraco installed in your Umbraco project (Umbraco 13 LTS or Umbraco 17+), and a Data Type set up with “Kontainer Media Picker” as the property editor.
Yes. The media picker lets you browse and select assets directly from your Kontainer library without leaving Umbraco.
When an asset is selected, the current version is pulled from Kontainer at that moment. If the asset is later updated in Kontainer, the saved version in Umbraco does not update automatically — you’ll need to re-select the asset in Umbraco to pick up the latest version.
Access to assets in Umbraco follows the permissions set up in Kontainer. Users can only see and select the assets they are authorized to use.
