Use Your Own DeepL Account for AI Translation in Kontainer DAM and PIM

What’s new: DeepL translation inside Kontainer

The DeepL integration brings translation into the place where your content already lives.

In the PIM, you can translate product names, descriptions, specifications and other text fields across your products and variants.

In the DAM, you can translate the texts attached to your assets, such as descriptions, alt texts and other metadata fields on images, videos and documents.

Click Translate on a field, and DeepL translates the source text into the target language. The translation is saved as a normal field value in Kontainer, so it can be reviewed, adjusted and used in all your channels right away.

 

Why your own DeepL account makes a difference

Many companies already use DeepL. And over time, their DeepL workspace has become much more than a translation engine.

Teams have added glossaries, preferred terms and rules that reflect how the business actually talks:

• Product and brand names that must never be translated
• The preferred translation of specific materials, components or product categories

It is also worth knowing what DeepL does not do in Kontainer. DeepL is used for translation only. It translates the text that is already in your fields but does not write new product copy or generate descriptions from images. For text generation, Kontainer supports a range of other AI providers.
