Since 1995, Architectural Window Systems (AWS) has designed and supplied aluminium windows and doors for homes and commercial buildings across Australia.

AWS designs, tests, finishes and supplies its systems under brands such as Vantage®, Elevate™ and ThermalHEART™ to more than 200 licensed fabricators, supported from facilities in New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

One source for every audience

AWS serves several audiences with different needs. Specifiers need accurate technical data and manuals; fabricators need the right product manufacturing detail and test report information; and the business and marketing teams need approved assets and consistent specifications.

When product data and digital assets live in separate places, they drift apart. Keeping details such as glass thickness or SHGC range up to date across multiple systems is slow, and outdated information can reach architects and partners.

The Solution

One platform for assets and product data

Kontainer DAM and PIM give AWS one place for assets, product data, test reports and manuals. The content is organised into a specifier hub, a fabricator hub, a business hub and a marketing hub, so each group finds what it needs.

Product data is enriched automatically through rules, and the PIM’s completeness control shows what is missing before information is shared. A weekly workflow synchronises product metadata and technical specifications, such as glass thickness and SHGC range, from the PIM to the DAM, so every asset reflects the latest product information.

AWS connects its own systems to Kontainer through the API, and Kontainer’s plugins for WordPress and Microsoft 365 make product data and assets available in the tools the team already works in.
